When Jonathan tries to convince Shep to stay with Tommy, he says "Don't look at me that way"This was the most substantial cut and it comes right between the montage and the first appearance of Pilot Pete  Joel: (points to fire) "If he isn't careful he'll burn a hole in his pants"Servo: "One fart and this place goes up like a tinder box" Taylor: "How can you lie there, I tell - I tell ya I heard somebody, somebodies out there!" Joel as Jonathan: "Ahh flapjacks, Taylor! You ruined a dream was having about the Landers sisters" Crow: Is he trying to lift Jonathan with his mind Joel: "Arise! Arise and float I command you!" Taylor: "You said yourself there are other prospectors out in Oak Valley, what if they got word somehow that we hit it?" Jonathan: "Sure a little bird flew down and told them. So they came running right back here so's they can come down here and dig up all our pretty gold right in the driving rain!" Servo as Taylor: "I knew it! I told you that bird was acting suspicious!" Taylor: "You may think it's funny but I don't, and from now on were keeping a guard near the cabin while we're up at the mine... We got to!" |
 Crow: "Jonathan no!"Servo: "That's the worst case of beer goggles I've ever seen" Crow: "Yeah, what was Shep thinking!" Joel: "This is wrong on so many levels" Jonathan: "Alright Taylor... then you stand guard. Tommy and me will work the mine - or maybe that'd worry ya to? You'd be a wondering if we were losing some of it before we got here. Now ease up Taylor, stop worrying..." "Mellow out dude" - Crow "The richest dust in creation is no blame good if you kill yourself gettin it. Now go on, get some sleep. I'm going to." Servo: "Me and the little lady have some sweet lovin' to get ba---" Joel: "Okay Tom that's enough" |
 This edit comes after Jonathan's death. Lin Taylor and Shep are sleeping, but Taylor slips away. MST went to commercial and when they returned Lin was back in bed snoring! What we didn't see in the MST version is where Taylor ran off to.Which was grave digging! The camera pans right to left, showing us Jonathan's freshly dug grave. Servo (excited): "Oh yeah I remember this one guys... What happens next is that Jonathan grows into a walking killer tree, and he wanders the jungle leaving a trail of death and destruction in his wake! Joel: "Oh I don't know, Tom... there's not a jungle for miles" |
 But Taylor's crime doesn't go unnoticed. As Shep is watching him from the wood.Crow as Shep: "I saw what you did this summer" Joel as Shep: "Revenge is a dish best served with Snausages" Servo: " Beware Taylor, for I am Shep, destroyer of worlds!" |
 After the Indian children (Mita & Red Wing) find the poisoned Shep, they take him to Bald Eagle, who instructs the boy to go get Tommy. MST cut out these short scenes of the boy riding to the store, running up the stairs and then out with Tommy, the two ride off and we rejoin Joel and the bots as Shep is brought back to good health.Joel as Tommy: "Faster! Before Ike Godsey notices the tobacco pouch is missing!" |
